The teaching of truth was in his mouth, and no wrong was found on his lips; he walked with me in peace and justice, and turned many away from wickedness.

O God, who brought Saint Louis from the cares of earthly rule to the glory of a heavenly realm, grant, we pray, through his intercession, that by fulfilling our duties on earth, we may seek out your eternal Kingdom. Through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.

Lord, let the sacrifice we offer in memory of Saint Louis bring to your faithful people the gifts of unity and peace. Grant this in the name of Jesus the Lord.

Seek first God’s kingship over you, his way of holiness, and all these things will be given you besides.
