Saint Ignatius of Laconi
0511 Religious (First Order)
Entrance Antiphon [ Cf. Gen 12:2-3 ]
I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing. I will bless those who bless you. And in you men shall find blessing, alleluia.
Collect
Lord God, you led Saint Ignatius along the way of humility, innocence, and fraternal charity to the heights of sanctity. Help us to imitate his virtues and to practice charity on earth in word and deed. We ask this through our Lord Jesus Christ, your Son, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, for ever and ever.
Prayer over the Offerings
Lord, we place on your altar the gifts of our poverty in memory of Saint Ignatius. By your power may they pass over into the mystery of our salvation. Grant this in the name of Jesus the Lord.
Communion Antiphon [ Lk 18:17 ]
Trust me when I tell you that whoever does not accept the kingdom of God as a child will not enter into it, alleluia.
Prayer after Communion
Lord, by the power of this Sacrament and the example of Saint Ignatius guide us always in your love. Make the good work you have begun in us reach perfection in the day of Christ Jesus, who is Lord for ever and ever.
